Prep Time: 15 minutes

Sear Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 7-8 hours on low (or 4-5 hours on high)

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lbs. Sawyer Creek Cattle grass-fed beef ribs
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (or beef tallow)
  • 1 cup beef bone broth
  •  2 tbsp B’s Raw Honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (adds depth)
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper (optional, for heat)

Directions:

  1. Prep the Ribs: Pat the beef ribs dry. Rub them with apple cider vinegar and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Sear for Flavor: Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs for 2 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together bone broth, raw honey, Dijon mustard, and all the spices. Pour over the ribs.
  4. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until the meat is tender and nearly falling off the bone.
  5. Optional Glaze: Remove ribs from the slow cooker and place on a baking sheet. Brush with some of the slow-cooked sauce and broil for 3–5 minutes for a caramelized finish.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Drizzle extra sauce over the ribs and serve with roasted vegetables, mashed sweet potatoes, or a side of coleslaw.
