Meal Ingredients
- 1 lb. grass-fed ground beef (85% or 90% lean)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup diced onion
- ½ cup diced celery
- ½ cup diced carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dried thyme

- ½ cup store-bought or homemade ketchup (see recipe below)
Homemade Ketchup Recipe:
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste (or use homemade tomato paste if preferred)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp. honey (preferably raw honey from Sawyer Creek)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- Sea salt or pink Himalayan salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste

Instructions

Prep homemade ketchup (if opting for this recipe versus store-bought version):
- In a small bowl, whisk together the tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, water, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt or pink Himalayan salt, and pepper.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and store in the fridge until ready to use.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the grass-fed beef, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, carrots, garlic, egg, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, basil, sea salt or pink Himalayan salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or a light coating of oil. Transfer the meat mixture into the pan, shaping it into a loaf.
- Spread the homemade ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
